My Equipment
My wheels are Spectra Plus with a seat from SOS.
I control it with switches, one for forward, one for reverse and one for on/off.
Left and right are switches in my headrest.

I also have a mode button which switches between my chair and communication machine. This means I can't talk whilst driving but this is probabley just as well.
CLEVER STUFF heh, all made possible by ACT at Selly Oak.
ACT also provide my communication machine which is a Dynavox V.
All the tech stuff about it can be found at Dynavox Web Site.
I use it to communicate by scanning with switches and then it speaks, a bit like Stephen Hawkin.
I also use it to control the TV and I can surf the Net, send text messages by phone, play music and I also have a camera which I can use as a video or take photos with. There's a lot more that you can do with it but I'm still learning!
I also have an environmental control in my room, the Steeper Activ which enables me to control my TV, lamp and bed head up and down. It also has a pager to call Mum and Dad when I need them or just to keep them on their toes!
Then there's my fantastic buggy.

This is Neil pushing it on our GeoPark Walk (see Expeditions page)
It is the Delta buggy from Delichon Ltd.
It's a massive thanks to PJ and Martin for making this possible.
Before this I had the Ranger Buggy, which I got too big for, and both have enabled me, with a little help from my friends, to scale Ben Nevis, the Brecon Beacons and canoe down the River Wye and lots more besides. You can see photos of it in action on Expeditions page.
Having a piece of kit like this is like having a Landrover - it can go anywhere.
